This is a brief inspirational speech that I gave today as a guest speaker at Woodland Hills Toastmasters International Club, California. I hope you find your switch. 🙂
This is a free EFT session that will help you or someone you know ease off some stress, doubt or feelings of apathy about their lives.
As often indicated, nothing is impossible to the mind of man; for the conscious mind controls the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind is all powerful. Therefore, every condition, circumstance, and manifestation of our lives can be changed to suite our conscious desires. Meanwhile, there are two commandments that will help us achieve this goal: Firstly, know that fear is the enemy; and secondly, understand the mind-lock. For fear causes the lock, and the lock exists in the subconscious mind in the form of prompters (negative emotions,) placed there by the conscious mind.
I challenge you to begin eradicating from your mind all notion of yourself that has to do with where you live, where you were born, what you have done, and what your circumstances have been. I encourage you to concentrate on only one thing; and that is the spirit within you.
As indicated by US Anderson, a renowned philosopher of the 60s, this real you, this conscious hidden intelligence that exists behind your eyes, is timeless, formless, and built from all the glory and magnificence that ever was. And this intelligence is your spirit. This spirit has nothing to do with your name, job or home…it has nothing to do with circumstance or situation. The plain fact is that you exist. Just dwell on that, and nothing more. This means that you focus on the now; identify the good in the now; strive to feel good now; develop and hold onto your intentions now; think about the now, not yesterday, not tomorrow…but now. Breathe, and pay attention to your breath. Then you will discover that all you really need to live is life.
I encourage and challenge you to give yourself sometime in the upcoming days to master your mind.
Ask yourself the following questions:
- What are my biggest fears?
- Are they based on factual truths?
- If this fear didn’t exist in my mind, how would I feel?
- What would I want to feel instead of this fear?
Get a journal and go through the above exercise every day for the next 9 days. At the end of these days, you will discover that you were not really afraid. You just felt fearful. Because indeed, being afraid is very different from feeling afraid. The former attitude brands you into fear itself, and the later, separates you from fear—which empowers you to knock it out of your system.
In my book Do not Force it, Tap The Good, you will learn techniques and tools that have been used by our very ancestors to re-connect to their spirits. You will learn the power of faith, the power in the now, and the power of self-unconditional love. Love and light.
The media has programmed us to doubt, and hate our appearances to levels beyond comprehension. With all the naked and semi-naked pictures of super-slim celebrities meandering all over the internet, and magazines, it is almost impossible to practice self-acceptance.
It is absurd how advertisements have programmed us to dislike our physical appearances, and instead get us to seek validation and acceptance from air-brushed and artificial beings, paraded on the internet and print media. We’ve forgotten that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. And although it is imperative to maintain a healthy body weight, it is equally as important to appreciate and love ourselves unconditionally. The challenge at hand is knocking out the competition of the multi-billionaire media industry, which aggressively and robustly seeks to reprogram our minds for self-doubt. As an individual swimming in the sea of environmental negativity, it takes more than just wish-full thinking to remain positive, love and appreciate oneself regardless of physical weight, color, or height. What has worked for me, are the following four steps.
- Take care of yourself the best you can. Endeavor to exercise daily, eat right, and do things to make you feel good.
- Look at yourself in the mirror every morning and evening, and practice self-talk. It is as simple as repeating these statements:
– I love myself unconditionally. – I am beautiful exactly the way I am. – I feel good about myself. – I accept myself wholly. – I’m unconditional love.
- Surround yourself with positive-minded people who will uplift, and appreciate you for who you are.
- Work on developing a healthier self-esteem by identifying the good and unique things about yourself. It also means establishing what you think your estimate is, or your self-worth–in relation to your core values, achievements and aspirations. Get a dairy and keep note of the good things you realize about yourself, and the things that you do that make you feel proud.
In my book Do not Force it, Tap The Good, you will discover the detailed steps that will help you weed out any self-limiting beliefs, negative thought processes, and then assist you in developing new ways to raise your self-esteem, self-love and perpetual happiness. The way one perceives a situation has direct impact on future experiences. Our interpretation of our experiences is a mapping of the beliefs that we profoundly established at some point in the past.
A very common perception among “unconscious creators” is that you perceive things the way you do because that is the way things are. Why would I refer to this as a “perceived truth” and not “Higher Truth?” Because the “Higher Truth” is that things are the way they are because of how you “perceive” them to be.
Therefore, in reality, perception is merely an individualized awareness based on a belief that you have established. If the belief is flawed or self-limiting, the perception that you hold with regard to the belief held will be flawed and self-limiting as well. And the results that you experience will correlate precisely with what you “perceive” to be true.
The power of perception will attempt to show you in the simplest and easiest way to understand how important it is to see all that you encounter and experience in your life, regardless of how it may appear at the time. Life unfolds precisely as you “perceive” that it will, and serves as a means of growth which is designed to enable you to fully-experience it based on the most precious gift that you could have ever been given…your inalienable right of free will.
Unfortunately, many times perceptions can lead to unpleasant or uncomfortable experiences. Yet still, during these times it is important for us to perceive the discomfort as an obliteration of the current situation, in order to give way for something new and probably better. There is always a lesson to be learned, something to be discovered and maybe bring us back to the path of truth, real truth – the reality to be precise.
In reality, there exists no such thing as an “untruth.” However, there does exist lower truths and higher truths; and your choice of which of these you choose to utilize does make it the truth which unfolds in your life, just as you believe it will.
Quick question: What do you perceive as something that is holding you back? How much mental and emotional power are you giving it?? Please contemplate on this question for the rest of the week.
Do not Force it, Tap The Good, is a book that details the causes of our perceptions and how we can change them to witness better experiences in love. Check it out at http://www.tapthegood.com or http://www.amazon.com/Do-not-Force-TAP-GOOD/dp/1461079098
