Even though I grew up in an environment of poverty, I truly and completely love, accept and forgive myself and everyone else involved.
Even though I have all those memories of lack and scarcity, that’s okay, I am doing the best…

I recently decided to administer an experiment with intent to establish the extent to which my daily habits were cemented in my unconscious. To support the proceeding, I moved my toothpaste cup to an opposite cupboard. Every morning I unconsciously went to the original place where I always placed the toothpaste cup only to remember that I had moved it to a different place. It took me about two weeks before I could go straight to the new place without checking in the old one. This proved to me that if a habit as simple as the proceeding had taken me that long to change, how long would it take to change other profound thought processes and beliefs that I have established about myself since childhood? This discovery scared the hell out of me. However what soothed my racing mind was the fact that leaving the toothpaste cup in the new place eventually became the new habit. Soon, I was able to go straight to the new location without much thought.
How does the above relate to escaping the enslavement of our brains?
It all comes down to one thing. Everything we do on a daily basis is grabbed by the brain as a sensation and manufactured into a habit. Every habit becomes the blue print of our experiences. Imagine that you’ve been thinking negatively for a long time. The brain will manufacture everything in your world to be in congruence with your most predominate thoughts.
Start today by changing a simple self-limiting thought about yourself. For instance, if you’ve been telling yourself that you are fat, tell yourself several times that you have the perfect weight.
Begin with simple things, and then build up by changing all those negative thoughts about yourself.
- The first step is writing down all the things you think are negative about yourself.
- Write down everything that is not working in your life.
- Then write down the opposite attributes of the list in step 1, and what you want to happen instead in step 2.
- Read your new list in no. 3 — three times a day.
This will eventually re-wire your brain to navigate for what you want.

Do you feel like you’ve picked up some bad energy lately? Whether it’s due to exposure from a negative environment or just a case of the blues, your aura can pick up some bad energy.
Cleansing yourself of these vibrations is the smart and healthy thing to do. To make this spiritual chore a little more interesting, the four elements, Air, Fire, Water and Earth can do a perfect job.
Cleansing with the Air Element:
Start by sitting up straight or standing tall. Inhale to the count of four and then exhale to the count of four. Make sure that you are breathing from the diaphragm rather than the chest. You should notice your belly moving up and down if you are performing this correctly. Continue for about five minutes or until you feel a significant change in your body and mood.
Focusing on your breath works with the element of air to increase lung capacity and oxygenate your blood. This raises your cellular and molecular vibratory rate, thus dispelling negative energy. You and your aura will be revitalized!
Cleansing with the Earth Element:
The earth has gravitational pull and a frequency all on its own. When you connect with the earth it can act like a magnet and suck out the negative energy from your aura. Essentially, it acts like a grounding rod, but instead of absorbing the energy from a lightning strike, it absorbs those bad vibes hanging out in your aura.
So, spend some time in the garden, dig in the dirt or just sit on the ground. Mother Earth will help rid you of those low vibrations. And don’t worry, she can handle it—just make sure you give thanks!
Cleansing with the Fire Element:
Since ancient times, fire has ritually been used for purification. Sacred fires often graced temples and are still used today in the form of candles, firepots and fire bowls. In addition to creating hallowed space, fire can also purify and cleanse your aura.
Whether you choose to sit in front of a fireplace, hang out by a campfire, or simply burn a few candles, spending time near fire is healing. It will help move stagnant and negative auric energy and transmute it into positive vibrations.
If you’re nowhere near a fire source, you can still use this element to clear your aura. All you need to do is visualize yourself engulfed in violet flames. See them consuming all the bad vibrations within your personal space.
Cleansing with the Water Element:
Last but not least, the water element can also help cleanse and clear your aura. Holy water is perhaps the easiest way to work with this element. Blessing or anointing yourself with it while saying a prayer or invocation can instantly remove negative vibrations from your aura.
Baths and showers can also help you wash away the negativity. While in the water, be sure to visualize those bad vibes going down the drain.
If you’re looking for something a little more exciting, consider taking a trip to the ocean. The negative ions produced by the ocean penetrate the air, creating positive energy to push out the bad. Here you’re working with both water and air.
