In this video, I share a personal story about depression, the related symptoms, some truths about depression and a few tips to help one release the grip from a depressive state.
In summary, below are a few facts for you to ponder.
- Depression is a term with a history and a lot of negative PR. Do not recruit this term to define your emotions just because you have a few symptoms that relate to it.
- Depression is perceived. And even as a perception that has graduated into an emotion, it doesn’t have identity. If you look for it within, you will never find it.
- The belief that you are depressed is just another thought. And thoughts are nothing without our recruitment. Remember, a believed thought will create a reality. Become aware of a thought as is without giving it your attention and it will disappear from your consciousness.
- You, in your true identity can never be depressed–just as the clouds in the sky can never change the sky. They dwell in the sky and then pass. And I believe the sky doesn’t personalize or identify with the clouds and define itself as a dark sky.
