Is Your Job Progressing, or Retarding You?

Screen-Shot-2013-11-08-at-1.10.37-PM

In school, for the most part we are programmed to believe that the only way to make it in life is to work for others. And although there’s nothing wrong with being employed, the danger is when we either don’t earn what we deserve or don’t ask for what we deserve because we don’t feel worthy.

In this short video, I share a few insights to inspire you to recognize your worth and then act accordingly.

Feeling Stressed Out? Three Tips to Inspire You

I recently went through an experience that left me feeling beaten and broken. I felt as if I was behind a curtain. I felt as if my true intentions weren’t understood. I felt betrayed, weak and discouraged. I felt misjudged, isolated and rejected.

Now, you will agree that such feelings can leave one in a state of emotional warfare. Yet I knew that I had to get up. I knew that I couldn’t control anyone else but myself. I had to take my power back, and determine the way I wanted to feel regardless of what anyone else thought or felt about me. I had to continue following my dreams, and focusing on my goals. I had to feel good again which is the only way that would enable me to wake up and try at this thing called life. I needed inspiration to keep going .

In this video, I share three tips that I employed to feel inspired. I hope they help you feel inspired. Please share the video with anyone you know needs some inspiration today.

Meet Your Worst Enemy: The Self-Fence:

chimpanzee-altruism_7212

I’m certain you are wondering what I mean by “Self-Fence.”

Yap…every one of us has it. We all tend at times to come up with all sorts of reasons why we shouldn’t take action, follow through, respond to emails, or adjust to change. We feed into our cognitive dissonances to upgrade our self-denials.

The “Self-Fence” is that thing that gets us stuck in our little uncomfortable hells—wishing that things could magically change. We procrastinate, postpone important tasks, and do whatever it takes to remain unsuccessful—yet blame everyone else but ourselves.

I’m certain that this “self-Fence” is what has blocked you from reading a book every day, and/or signing up for personal development seminars or programs. It’s funny that this “self-fence” is what has prevented you from signing up for my Business Intelligence Mastermind—a resource that will help you take your power back, and become the authority of your craft. And I’m not blaming you for not registering for our Business Intelligence Mastery full day Boot Camp… it’s “Self-Fence.”

Three Steps to High Productivity on Lousy Days:

lousy
If you are a business owner just as I am, you’ve experienced days when you feel like the night was so short. Yet, the guilt to pull those bed-covers closer bombards you like a cold blanket over your head. What do you do?

Below are the steps I take to help me get going on especially lousy days.

1. I breathe deeply before I leave my bed: kind of a meditation. I believe in strength, drive and enthusiasm, and breathe out lousiness and procrastination. I go through this exercise for about 10 minutes.

2. I jump out of bed; do a 10 minutes yoga session – still breathing deeply. I also lift 5 pound weights for another 5 minutes. I take a lurk-warm water shower, (lurk-warm or cold water wakes up the body) drink a big glass of water, take a good protein breakfast and proceed to my home office.

3. I make a to-do list for the day, putting the difficult takes first, and then get started.
In a nut-shell; the steps are: 1. Deep breathing. 2. Exercising, stretching and a protein powered breakfast.
3. Making a to-do list and getting started without getting distracted. Please note that I didn’t include face-booking or emailing. Those are things I do later in the day after decreasing the tasks on my to-do list.

Three Ways to Inspire yourself:

Dont fear
The year is ending. Bills are most probably accumulating. Membership renewals are due. The expenses are increasing, yet your income is the same. In situations like these, stress and/or worry become the order of the mind. It’s hard to avoid negative emotions.
Below are three ways to inspire yourself and see things on a brighter spectrum.

1. Clean and organize your closet. Gather all clothes and shoes that you haven’t worn for the last 6 months, and give them away

2. Listen to your favorite music. Music has been known to soothe the mind.

3. Have a candle light bath. This is physically and emotional soothing.
