Feeling Stressed Out? Three Tips to Inspire You


I recently went through an experience that left me feeling beaten and broken. I felt as if I was behind a curtain. I felt as if my true intentions weren’t understood. I felt betrayed, weak and discouraged. I felt misjudged, isolated and rejected.

Now, you will agree that such feelings can leave one in a state of emotional warfare. Yet I knew that I had to get up. I knew that I couldn’t control anyone else but myself. I had to take my power back, and determine the way I wanted to feel regardless of what anyone else thought or felt about me. I had to continue following my dreams, and focusing on my goals. I had to feel good again which is the only way that would enable me to wake up and try at this thing called life. I needed inspiration to keep going .

Does What You Want Deserve You?


Often times who crave to get certain things in life. We crave for jobs, relationships, cars, etc, only to get them and start craving for different things. At times when we get what we have been longing for, this is when we realize that it doesn’t resonate with our personal standards.

As a counselor and coach, I have discovered that people long for what they don’t really want. They tend to focus so much on the  wanted “thing” instead of the feelings that the ‘thing” will elicit in them when they get it. For example; a woman craves to attract a man. And when she does, she realizes that she deserves better. This is when she also discovers that she didn’t evaluate what she particularly deserves before she established what she wanted.

My simple advice is that before you start working towards achieving a set goal, let it be a woman, man, job, promotion, car, etc, ask yourself if this goal reflects on your standards, values, and self esteem. The starting point is to evaluate how you value yourself. What makes you, you? What’s your worth?

EFT Session to Stop Resisting, and Just Allow Yourself to be.

When we stop resisting our situations and just allow ourselves to fall into whatever seems to be the problem, the problem tends to dissolve. And the idea is not to stop resisting with an intention to dissolve the problems, it’s rather to allow whatever is bombarding you to invite the feelings that need to be activated without focusing on an outcome. This also means that we are 100% present; not in the past, or the future. We are just allowing…now…in the moment.

Here’s an EFT Session to help you get to that place of allowing.

 Round One:

I’m feeling it

It’s not enjoyable.

I’m prompted to resist the negative feeling

I’m tempted to find a solution

I’m tempted to keep running from these negative emotions

I’m tempted not to cry

I’m tempted to do something about this problem.

It sucks

I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I can’t be still

I have to do something about this problem

This is not fun

This is not fair

I have to do something about this problem.

Round Two:

This is exhausting.

Maybe I should just be

What if I just dive into this pain?

What will really happen?

I know I won’t die.

I’m already feeling it.

So, I shouldn’t really resist it.

It’s okay and normal to be sad

It’s part of growth

I guess I’m just going to dive into this pain

I’m tired of resisting it

Here I go

I’m now allowing myself to feel it

I’m allowing myself to feel this pain

I’m allowing this pain to do what it is here to do.

I’m allowing myself to just be

I’m allowing myself to stop this resistance

I’m diving deep into this moment

Knowing that it’s okay to feel the way I feel

I’m letting go of the struggle.

It’s okay to just surrender to the process.

I’m now surrendering to the process.

In body, mind and spirit.

I hope this helps. Tap as many times as you can and very soon, you will feel free of the negative emotion by just allowing yourself to be. Remember that whatever we stop resisting remains with nothing to feed on: based on the fact that negative emotions tend to feed on our resistances.
