3 Out-of-the box techniques to Get New Customers.


A business without customers is like a house without habitants. Regardless of how great or special your product or service is, if you don’t have people demanding it, it’s more or less valueless–unless of course you created it as a hobby. When our products or services are demanded, it implies that we are fulfilling people’s needs or wants. It makes our businesses alive, and our minds enthused with purposefulness. It is simple: without customers there is no business.

The question is; what do you do on a daily or weekly basis to recruit new customers? Below are 3 techniques that I’ve successfully used to get new customers.

  1. Volunteering.

Volunteering, especially for causes related to our products or services, is an easy way to get your name out there. For instance: I offer free group counseling sessions to women in public libraries every two months. When the libraries are advertising my events, they create flyers with my name, qualifications and contact details and post them everywhere in the libraries, and on their websites. This doesn’t only build my SEO since my contact information is included on their big websites, but it’s also free advertising for my company.  If you have a LinkedIn account, sign up for volunteermatch.com and start volunteering at these big organizations. Even if they don’t hire your services, if you do your job well, at the very least you will get a good referral.

  1. Blogging:

I’ve discovered that so many businesspeople resent blogging. However, blogging is simple especially if you have a passion for what you do. All you have to do is write weekly on subjects related to your business—such as this one for my business. As a success coach, I offer sales success strategies to especially small business owners. What I’ve done in this blog is offer you some tips that could help you recruit new customers.   1. Host a “Wine and Peanuts” party.

People love free things. People love wine. Men love peanuts. 🙂 Host a party and include a raffle for guests to buy tickets to win complimentary services or products. However, don’t give away too much. If you are a service provider, offer no more than a 30 minutes complimentary session. Also, remember to have a guestbook to record their contact details. Ask them if it’s okay to email them periodical offers and/or free tips. Trust me; they will be okay with that. You’ve wined and fed them, and the law of reciprocity will naturally take effect.

You Are Not Different From a Rainbow:

The rainbow is one of the most splendid creations of all times. Cultures all over the world have elicited different symbolisms from its occurrence. In The Bible, it is indicated as a symbol of God’s intention to purify the world. In most African cultures, it is a sign of deliverance from trouble. Other cultures equate it to a new beginning, hope, and wealth. The argument is that none of this magical finery is forced to occur or even maintain its form. If the right circumstances are not met, by the sun shining onto droplets of moisture in the earth’s atmosphere, the multicolored arc will not manifest.

Likewise, if we want to manifest a better life, we have to meet the equivalent emotional, mental, spiritual and practical conditions. We have to redesign our internal representations, and mindsets to reflect on what we want mirrored in our experiences.

We have to let go of the old mind programming that doesn’t serve us, and install now beliefs and thought processes that are in congruence with what we want: and this is actually when we fulfill the necessary conditions to manifest good experiences.

EFT Session to Stop Resisting, and Just Allow Yourself to be.

When we stop resisting our situations and just allow ourselves to fall into whatever seems to be the problem, the problem tends to dissolve. And the idea is not to stop resisting with an intention to dissolve the problems, it’s rather to allow whatever is bombarding you to invite the feelings that need to be activated without focusing on an outcome. This also means that we are 100% present; not in the past, or the future. We are just allowing…now…in the moment.

Here’s an EFT Session to help you get to that place of allowing.

I’m feeling it

It’s not enjoyable.

I’m prompted to resist the negative feeling

I’m tempted to find a solution

I’m tempted to keep running from these negative emotions

I’m tempted not to cry

I’m tempted to do something about this problem.

It sucks

I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I can’t be still

I have to do something about this problem

This is not fun

This is not fair

I have to do something about this problem.

Round Two:

This is exhausting.

Maybe I should just be

What if I just dive into this pain?

What will really happen?

I know I won’t die.

I’m already feeling it.

So, I shouldn’t really resist it.

It’s okay and normal to be sad

It’s part of growth

I guess I’m just going to dive into this pain

I’m tired of resisting it

I’m now allowing myself to feel it

Knowing that it’s okay to feel the way I feel

I’m letting go of the struggle.

It’s okay to just surrender to the process.

I’m now surrendering to the process.

In body, mind and spirit.

6 Steps to Retrieve Sustainable Success:

It is common that whenever we are experiencing some discomforts in our lives, we state that “we are going” through some stuff. What is so great about the previous statement are the words “going through.” This implies that we are resolving the prevailing issues and moving towards our desired futures. However, it is easier said than done. “Going through” things for some people, might mean “going through a numbing process.” And what I mean by “numbing” is when people are investing in the denial process—where our negative emotions and fears are stored in ignorance of the consequences. What is depressing about this process is that these negative emotions never go away. We have to do the work to dissolve the negative emotions, and/or negative programming before we can be able to install the good inner stuff.

Below, are six steps that will help you start letting go of the unwanted programming in order to install new positive inner programs that will upgrade your live.

  1. List three self-limiting beliefs that you have about yourself.

  2. List three self-limiting beliefs that you have about money, success and/or your business?

  3. List three reasons why you think these self-limiting beliefs are serving you.

  4. List five reasons why you should let go of these beliefs.

  5. Explain how you think you will feel when you let go of these beliefs.

  6. Read the answers to question 5 every morning and evening for the next 5 days.

Remember that the mindsets that land us in the messes we find ourselves into, can never be the mindsets that get us out. We have to let go of who we are for who we want to become. We have to make the changes, or our situations will stay the same. Fortunately, we have the power of choice to tap into in order to either upgrade, or retard our lives.
