Do not Divide Your Attention From God/Universe

I personally consider the Bible a psychological book intended to guide us through life. The bible has so much wisdom, which when interpreted from a psychological point of view, can change your relationship with life, and all your experiences. Every story in the bible has two sides to it. There is an esoteric and exoteric interpretation for every story in the bible. That’s why it is considered a double edged sword.

A friend recently sent me this message on WhatsApp and I thought it was really powerful. So, I am sharing this with you

When *GOD* wanted to create *fish*, he spoke to the *sea*.

When *GOD* wanted to create *trees*, He spoke to the *earth*.

But when *GOD* wanted to create *man*, He turned to *HIMSELF*. Thus *GOD* said: *”Let us make man in our image and likeness”*.’

Note: If you get a *fish out of the water, it will die*; and when *you remove a tree from the ground, it also dies*. Similarly, when *man* disconnects from *GOD, the Universe, or that divine power, he dies*. *GOD* is our *natural environment*. We were created to live in *HIS presence*.  God’s presence is our presence. We must be connected with *Him* because only with *Him* does life exist. We must glue our attention on God, on the universe, on the unconditional love in our hearts.

Let’s stay in oneness with GOD. Let us remember that water without fish is still water, but a fish without water is dead. The soil without the tree is still soil, but the tree without soil is nothing. God without man is still God, but  man without GOD is literally dead in spirit.

If you look closer, you will discover that there is actually no separation between you and God. God is all there is. Man is God asleep to himself, and God is man awake.

Just some thoughts to ponder.

The Role of Perception in Life

“The goal of all perception is to fully realize itself in whatever it perceives.” Dr. Jacinta M Mpalyenkana-Murray

The above quote came to me during one of my meditations. And it means that perception fully manifests when it sees itself in whatever it perceives.

“Perception fully realizes itself when it sees itself in whatever it perceives.” – Dr. Jacinta Mpalyenkana-Murray

Your perception is mirrored in what you perceive regardless of whether the former reveals the truth in whatever is perceived or not. And since perception is projection, your perceptive nature is projected from your inner world. So, you see the world as you are and not necessarily as it is. Hence, the saying, “As with in you so with out.”

Note that this notion has a few interesting implications.

  1. Your perception serves you by perceiving and presenting a reflection of your inner programming. Note that somewhere along the way you allowed information and data to comfortably dwell within, and program you, and this is how you design and project your perception onto your outer world.
  2. You are the authority of your experiences because you are the recruiter of the inner programming upon which you project and perceive the world, and the experiencer of these projections.
  3. You are superior and boss to your perceptive nature. Perception obeys you, and responds to your needs and delivers exactly that which you desire, good or bad.
  4. You are more powerful than you think. However, you can use this power to deliver positives in your experiences or create havoc in your life. It all depends on you. Remember, within you, is the King of your life’s kingdom.

The questions are:

(a) Are you taking on the king’s position or the slave’s?

(b) How do you become the authority of your experiences?

(c) How do you stay on top of your life’s game and win yourself back from the insanities in life?

In my book, The Sanity Warrior: Becoming the Authority of Your Experiences, you will discover or simply be reminded of your God-given powers and how you can use them to transcend the virus of the psychological mind and then live life on more positive terms.

Life is not Hard or Simple: life is….

Woman-with-key

We have a tendency of saying that life is hard, simple, great, etc. However, if we look closely at what we imply we realize that we are referring to our experiences. When we perceive our experiences as good or great, we claim that life is good or great. When our perceived experiences are unpleasant we conclude that life is hard or unpleasant. However, if we refrain from defining and perceiving experiences and just witness them as they are, we realize that life is. It is a force within us that I also believe is the spark of God within us. Even when our bodies are ill, as long as we still have breath in our lungs with our hearts still beating, life is. And yes, in life there are experiences however life in its totality is not experience. One can be inwardly totally empty without experiencing anything yet still be alive. Therefore, it is my conclusion that life is not good, bad, tough or easy. It just is if we do not entangle it with our experiences. This also means that we can choose to accept all situations when they occur and refrain from defining them or dictating how they should have been. When a situation manifests, we can observe it as is. Even if we need to take action there’s no law in the universe that demands of us to feel sad, stressed, perturbed, or generate any other negative emotion in order to take action. We can take action from a place of pure witnessing with unwavering faith that what has to be done shall be done.

By understanding that life is a distinct force within us provided and supported by only its giver, God…Creator, we also understand that without life, there is no experience. Life happens first, and then experience follows. With that in mind we can be grateful for what’s truly important…life. We can be in awe of this gift called life regardless of our perceived experiences.

If you doubt this notion and have concluded that indeed your life is hard, take time to inwardly search for what this “hard life” looks like visually. If you do this exercise earnestly you will witness the mind leading you to a memory or memories of your experiences.

In the meantime, I hope that you can just be grateful for life, as a distinct force and gift from the Creator, God.

Endless love

What are Challenges?

ex

When you are experiencing challenges ask yourself:

  1. Who is the experiencer of these challenges?
  2. Why is this experiencer experiencing these events as challenges?
  3. How did the experiencer come to a conclusion that these events are challenges?
  4. Is this experiencer perceiving these events from a place of fear or faith?
  5. And most importantly, ask, does the experiencer really have to experience these events at all?
  6. What can happen if this experiencer retracts their attention from what they perceive as challenges and instead focus on something more pleasant?

As you dwell on the answers of these questions you start discovering that what you perceive as challenges are simply events that need your attention to resolve or ignore—especially if you can’t do anything about them. From these mental and emotional states, you free yourself from the discomforting consequences of your perception.

Are You 100% Free to Be What You Want to Be?

Freedom 6

Some philosophers have argued that we are not totally free to be who want to be. What we think is freedom is merely being free to express ourselves as predetermined by our earlier and continuous programming. Due to the fact that being free means being happy and content with wherever and whatever one is, we tend to mistake settling for what is available, for authentic contentment. We forget that if we are unaware of other realities we have nothing to compare with. As such we regard our present reality as the real deal. Furthermore, because we are deeply programmed to believe and be a certain way, we conclude that this is the best we can be or do. We settle for beliefs  and lives that are not organically our own.

self-limiting

For instance, as I child, I was told, and I believed that if a woman rode a bike they would never get married. Because riding a bike compromised being feminine. Today, I’m still struggling to learn how to ride a bike–upon discovering that getting married has nothing to do with riding a bike. 🙂
Limiting-Beliefs

That’s one of many beliefs that I was exposed to as a child, and I have had to examine, question and change my beliefs every so often in order to discover if they are regressing or progressing me.

The question is: Which of your beliefs are promoting your life?

Note that it takes more than wishful thinking to examine all our beliefs in order to originate beliefs and ways of living that are organically our own. Note that everytime someone starts questioning the general status quo, they are isolated, rejected if not killed. They are thrown out of the crowd. Think about people like, Martin Luther King, Jr, Jesus, the Christ–to mention a few.

So, if you want to create a reality that is organically your own, you have to step away from the crowds, follow your bliss and inner guidance, question everything, be open to everything, yet attached to nothing. You also have to be willing to be alone in order to find your authentic-self.  However, the benefits are inexhaustible.

10 Things To Do When You Feel Frustrated With Life

Frustrate

Although there are many reasons that incite our frustrations, the main reasons are founded on two major factors: money and relationships.

We get frustrated because we either don’t have money, we are losing money or money is not coming in as expected. We also get frustrated because of the people we deal with: especially because we are all different and view the world from a diverse perspective.

One thing I have learned is that the factors that promote our negative emotions, plus the negative emotions are not as crucial in influencing our emotional well-being as our perception about them. As such, my intention is to share 10 tips that you can use to get out of a frustrated mood regardless of the foundation of your frustrations. Remember,  it is not what happens to us that impacts our lives; it’s how we perceive whatever happens.

  1. Move

By moving, I mean, changing your physicality. Do yoga, dance, go for a walk, exercise: the idea is to get your body moving. Once your body is moving, your brain will change its focus from the frustration to whatever you are doing.

move

“The difference between peak performance and poor performance is not intelligence or ability; most often it’s the state that your mind and body is in.” – Tony Robbins

Note that emotion is created by motion. In other words, emotions are linked to movement in our bodies. Observe your posture when you are happy, as opposed to when you are sad — or what you look like when you are angry, versus when you are elated.

  1. Listen To Inspirational Or Upbeat Music.

I understand that sometimes when you are feeling frustrated or sad you don’t have the guts to listen to anything. But if you are so sick and tired of feeling negative you will do whatever it takes to feel better. Some of the songs I listen to when I’m sad include, but are not limited to the following:

  • The Storm is Over – R Kelley

  • A New Day Has Come – Celine Dion

  • Roar – Katy Perry

  • Departed (Right Here) – Brandy

  • I look to You – Whitney Houston

  • I’m Your Angel – Celine Dion and R Kelly

  • When You Believe – Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey

  • Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) – Kelly Clarkson

  • One Step at a Time – Jordan Sparks

Note that it is important to spend time making your own list.

         3. Clean

Cleaning your space has a magical way of making you feel better. As you clean, your mind goes into the cleaning mood.  As such, you implicitly clean the frustration from your mind.

Clean

  1. Imagine receiving $1 Million in your bank account; make a list of how you would spend it.

Imagine

  1. Cook

Just go into your kitchen and concoct recipes regardless of what you are cooking. The process will definitely help you divert your mind from the frustration.

Cook

  1. Change your furniture around. Don’t try to be perfect. Just change things around in whichever way you want.

    Change furniture

  1. Go window shopping

    Window-Shopping

  1. Meditate.

  1. Volunteer

This will help you realize how blessed you are.

    Volunteer

  1. Make big plans.

Just make plans without worrying about the resources required to realize them. Make plans as you focus on the things you want to manifest in your life—imagining that there are no obstacles that can hinder you from achieving your goals.

Conclusion:

Remember that the difference between where you are emotionally or mentally, and where you want to be, is only a decision away. Once you decide to change your mind about anything, you have literally embarked on a profound journey of getting to your desired destination.

Reading self-help books is also another vital tip that will help infuse your mind with self-improvement–which is a good thing. You may want to check out my book: Do Not Force It, Tap The Good – Link – https://www.amazon.com/Do-not-Force-TAP-GOOD/dp/1461079098

How Death Affects us Beyond Dying; and How to Avoid it Before Dying.

“Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.” Norman Cousins

Death has been known as one of the scariest experiences in our lives. Most people fear it. Death is traumatizing, yet, we tend to administer the same implicit approach to many of the worldly, temporary things we found in this world, and things that we shall leave behind when we die; things that will come and go; things that live and die. This is the type of death that I discuss in this article–a death that defines and implicates the final destination to all temporary things.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t know anything on this planet with infinite attributes other than God, Allah—or whoever you refer to as your Creator. As such, we the human race have developed a profound tendency over the years to put all our bets in the situation-basket of what’s temporary. Consequently, we miss out on the infinite realm of things.

What Do I Mean By This?

For example, when we focus all our attention on something like a bill that we have to pay, a car that we have to replace or how our neighbor is doing better than we are, we are literally focusing on what’s finite. At times we engage in unhealthy competition with belief that there isn’t enough in circulation for all of us. We find ways to block, intimidate, criticize or judge those who have dreams we believe are similar to ours. Yet, we forget that we are all unique and different. We ignore the divine truth that no one will ever be or has ever been created with our blueprint. We negate the fact that we are all special and therefore whatever we create even if it might appear similar, is differentiated by our very nature.

Consequently, we miss out on the infinite intelligence that dwells within us…the source of all things.  And our limited perception is based on fear: the fear that we won’t have enough, the fear that we live in a scarce world: and the blind notion that we are in control of everything. We forget that we are supported in life by a divine being that takes care of our very bodily biology and does magical things like help us breathe as we sleep: manages the trillions of the body’s internal cellular activities that we don’t even know about.

“What’s lovely never dies, but passes onto other loveliness” – Thomas Bailey Aldrich

That’s why it is written in the bible that, “Seek first the kingdom of heaven and all the rest will fall in hand,” meaning that let’s seek to connect to the source of all things, that invisible Self that protects and takes care of our needs. Out of that mental/emotional condition, inspiration will drive us to how and where we can find the temporary things of this world. And I’m not suggesting that you ignore your bills or become irresponsible. What I’m suggesting is for us to stop killing each other and ourselves for things we found in this world. Let’s remove our grips on emotional and mental mediocrity because they don’t serve us. Let’s focus on that which is infinite within us. Let’s focus on loving each other, forgiving each other, and working on ourselves to become better people: better than whom we were yesterday. Let’s focus on tapping into the intangible infinite attributes within us: attributes like love, peace, hope, creativity and the like. Consequently, we won’t only be able to easily get the temporary world stuff but also access all the mental, emotional and spiritual resources to replace them.

Named-Divine-December-5-Divine-Light-Invocation

“Death leaves a headache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal” – Unknown

Remember, when you focus on what’s dying, you will never see what’s being born. Let’s become flexible, and develop faith in our creator regardless of our religious or non-religious technologies, well knowing that because this planet was built with us the human race in mind, we are always taken care of, and there’s no need to hate or kill each for what’s temporary.
