Rich Thoughts, Poor pessimism


It’s often said that the quality of our thoughts determines the quality of our experiences. Thoughts are the lens through which we see and interpret the world.

However, thoughts do not create reality per say. Apparently, reality can neither be created nor destroyed. Thoughts are what determine the realities that we experience. If we choose to think rich healthy thoughts, then we achieve two things:

(i) We experience a rich and healthy emotional state.

(ii) We starve the negativity.

Therefore, considering that energy flows where attention dwells, rich thoughts equate to poor pessimism: “poor” in regards to being denied the focus.

I’m aware that the topic of positive thinking is not new. Millions of visionaries, teachers and self-development personalities have written about, and discussed the power of our thoughts—due to the complexity and depth of our negative programming. We’ve been so immensely programmed to live in illusion: worrying about things that don’t, or no longer exist: depending on other people’s stories or our past experiences to forecast the future: holding onto negative emotions from our past experiences as if they serve us: blocking the flow of life, and the power in the now.

Whatever situation you are facing today remember that you have the power to choose which thoughts and states to focus on.

One tip is to go back to the positive state or event right before the negative one happened…the one that is currently bombarding your emotions with negativity. Then, focus on the positive state as you tap into the related positive emotions. Dive into this picture, embrace the positive states. Feel the good feelings you felt during that experience. Then anchor in these emotions by placing your tongue to the roof of your mouth. Every time you feel a negative emotion, place your tongue to the roof of your mouth for a few minutes. This should help you get in touch with the positive state that you anchored.

This process will help you remember that you are not your emotions. You are more. You can hence become a witness, which then empowers you to ease the grip that these emotions have on your feelings.

You Are Not Different From a Rainbow:

The rainbow is one of the most splendid creations of all times. Cultures all over the world have elicited different symbolisms from its occurrence. In The Bible, it is indicated as a symbol of God’s intention to purify the world. In most African cultures, it is a sign of deliverance from trouble. Other cultures equate it to a new beginning, hope, and wealth. The argument is that none of this magical finery is forced to occur or even maintain its form. If the right circumstances are not met, by the sun shining onto droplets of moisture in the earth’s atmosphere, the multicolored arc will not manifest.

Likewise, if we want to manifest a better life, we have to meet the equivalent emotional, mental, spiritual and practical conditions. We have to redesign our internal representations, and mindsets to reflect on what we want mirrored in our experiences.

We have to let go of the old mind programming that doesn’t serve us, and install now beliefs and thought processes that are in congruence with what we want: and this is actually when we fulfill the necessary conditions to manifest good experiences.

It’s All About You.

It is not selfish to say that it’s all about you. It’s actually empowering. Remember that you are the most important treasure for your life. Without you, your life and world do not exist.

How do you give what you don’t have?

How do you support when your foundation is cracking?

You need to fully own who you are in order to give yourself to others–without losing yourself in the process.

The Source of Inventions: An excerpt from the Book: Do Not Force It, Tap The Good

Inventions are available to each of us if we open up our minds to them. It is both simple and exciting. If you want to come up with a new idea or service, begin focusing entirely on everything you do. As you go about your day, if you feel uncomfortable about anything you are doing, stop. Begin thinking about ways, means, or products that would have made your activity more comfortable or enjoyable to do.

An invention is the gap between the uncomfortable and comfortable levels. That is how cell phones were made, to bridge the gap between the discomfort of having to look for someone all over the place, and the comfort of just picking up the phone and reaching them wherever they are.

The next thing to do is search the Internet for any similar products or services that you think can bridge the identified gap. If there are none, then you have an invention. That idea right there is what you can turn into a mega product or service. The only work for you to do is to develop the confidence in the idea and pursue it limitlessly without letting anyone or anything discourage you. Remember, if you want it bad enough, you will get it.

Grounding is the Answer!


floralearthIf you are like me you have labored in the fields of self-improvement for a long time; yet, that illusive, permanent happiness, peace and prosperity remain elusive.

We are promised to achieve eventual attainment of the wonderful state of joy.Grounding 2

With that in mind, we begin the destination-less match on the treadmill to nowhere. However, in spite of the match, or even the robust jog, regardless of how fast we run, or for how long, the distance to our “happiness destination” remains the same. For this very reason, I’m enthused to ask a simple question: Who is it that we are trying so desperately to improve?

May I therefore suggest that the “who” whose life we are trying to repair, does not actually exist outside of a story that was imposed upon us a long, long time ago? May I be so impudent to suggest that we are attempting to make an imaginary person happy? And…may I also suggest that this is an impossible task to take?

Please remember; we cannot improve the lot of a story book character. But we can put down the book and notice that the one reading is not actually in the story. Let’s step off the treadmill and ground ourselves onto solid ground–which is the only answer to finding our true selves.

Powerful Affirmations to Reconnect to Your True Self:


These affirmations are taken from; “The Three Magic Words,” a book by US Anderson. I have edited and re-arranged the words to match our times.

Saying these affirmations every morning, will grant you a sense of faith and a firm re-connection to the kingdom of God that dwells with in you. Remember that you are not, and will never be “alone.”

 

I am pure in spirit; I have always been, and will always be.
Inside me is a place of confidence, quietness and security: a place where all things are known and understood. This place is the universal mind of God of which I am a part, and which responds to me when I ask of it. This universal mind of God knows the answers to all my problems. And even now, the answers are speeding their way to me. I needn’t struggle for them; I needn’t worry or strive for them. When the time comes, the answers will reveal themselves to me.
Today I surrender my problems to the universal mind of God. I let go of them with confidence that the correct answers will return to me in due time.
Through the great law of attraction, everything that I need for my work and fulfillment comes to me. I ask, believe, and let go.
I take inspired action with impeccable focus.
I do things to make me feel good; knowing that in feeling good, I’m connecting to all the goodness there is.
I am patient, positive-minded and focused.
I know that all is well; because I’m guided in all my actions.

I let go of any resistance; and completely surrender myself to the kingdom of God that dwells within me.
