A sacred tradition of the Native American people, the sweat lodge is a unique healing ritual with deep detoxifying benefits to the body, mind and soul. It is a cultural and spiritual experience that delivers a journey of physical purification and personal initiation for the participants.
In my sweat lodge sessions, since I am an African, I base my practice on both the Native American, and the African traditions that involve prayer, forgiveness, gratitude, and invocations. During the ceremony, we call upon God–the Creator, angels, universal energies, The quantum Soul light, divine beings, the elements and other celestial beings–to mention but a few, to aid us in our intentions.
As a counselor and transformation coach, I have learned that taking care of the mind and body alone isn’t sufficient to promise progress in one’s life. Sometimes, our spirits are entangled in all sorts of codes, contracts and negative lineage-based arrangements, karmic debts, curses, etc, that cannot be resolved by psychology alone. And yes, psychology will empower one’s mind to take charge of their lives, but they have to be open-minded in order to explore what else they can do to achieve emotional, and life-force freedom.
“Taking care of the mind and body alone isn’t sufficient to promise progress in one’s life.”
I’ve met people who have worked to achieve emotional freedom, worked on empowering themselves, use their brains, know what they want, become more organized and focused, but still continue to struggle. The good news is that everything that brings us down is within us, and once we take full responsibility of our well-being, there’s nothing under the sun that we wouldn’t do to achieve freedom.
“Everything that brings us down is within us, and once we take full responsibility of our well-being, there’s nothing under the sun that we wouldn’t do to achieve freedom.”
Unfortunately, a sweat lodge is one of those things that Christians have declared homes of the devil’s work. Yet whoever told them that attaining spiritual healing is a devilish act, is the enemy. They don’t want anyone to access themselves fully for the fear of losing control over them: because when you’ve only accessed a fraction of yourself, anyone else who knows that you are more can manipulate to weaken, and then control you. If you know who you truly are, and what you can do to access the whole of you, no one can deceive you about what is, isn’t right for you.
“If you know who you truly are, and what you can do to access the whole of you, no one can deceive you about what is, isn’t right for you.”
Therefore, a sweat lodge is one of the thousands of spiritual cleansing, and healing tools that will release you from all types of bondage—of-course based on your intentions and how determined you are to follow through and heal your life.
In a nutshell, the benefits of a sweat lodge include, but are not limited to the following:
Physical Detoxification & Healing – the body is provided with antibacterial and wound-healing benefits.
Mental Purification & Healing – the mind is freed of distractions, offering clarity of thought.
Spiritual Healing – it allows for introspection and connection to the earth, to the planet and to the spirit world.
We have sweat lodge ceremonies every Saturday in the Antelope valley area, about an hour’s drive North of Los Angeles. And YOU are welcome to join us at a cost less than the price of 2 meals in a medium class restaurant.
In the interim, remain blessed, loved and happy.

Remember, “Everything is nothing to an individual until they recognize and define it to be something.”
Do you feel stuck?
Do you feel as if life itself doesn’t want you to live it?
Do you feel as though you probably made a contract with the devil itself?
Have you gone through some things that have left you feeling broken?
Have you tried everything to elevate your life and failed?
Then, this prayer might help. Many times when we are stuck and feel as if we are imprisoned within our very beings, we might be attached to dark energies or connected to negative karma. Prayer and supplication have been known to heal anything. And with faith, healing takes place–regardless of how long it takes.
So, I invite you to say or listen to the prayer in the video twice daily for 40 days.

As a counselor and personal coach, one of the issues that I occasionally help my clients with is to improve their relationships with their parents and/or daughters. In this article, I share 5 tips that can help improve a mother-daughter relationship.
1. Be Proactive
Don’t wait for the other person to make the first move. If you have any issues to discuss, make the move. Think about how you feel in the relationship and what you can do to change.
Many think that the only way to improve a relationship is for the other person to change their ways. However, we can all individually take full responsibility of our actions and reactions and improve our thought processes in such a way that makes us feel good about ourselves
Both moms and daughters often have idealistic expectations about their relationship. For instance, kids commonly think their mom will be nurturing and present — always. This idea can develop from an early age. As a daughter, remember that your mom also has her own life and issues to deal with. Be empathetic: and the same goes for mothers.
Lack of communication is a common challenge with moms and daughters. In some ways they can be so close or feel so close that they believe that each of them should know how the other one feels. It’s vital to know that complaining disrupts the message. When there is conflict, explain what was done and how it made you feel. It is not about blaming the other person or giving them titles. It is about focusing on your personal feelings about their actions or words and being as clear as possible. After explaining, it is important to give the other person time to explain. Most times you will discover that they didn’t even mean to hurt you.
Active listening is reflecting back what the other person is saying, instead of assuming you already know. When you reflect back to what your mom or daughter is saying, you’re telling her that she’s being heard and that you understand.
If you utilize these tips whenever conflict arises, chances are that your relationship will be healthier than if you just keep quiet and don’t communicate your concerns.

Is it hard to believe that miracles are unfolding all around us? And that we have access to co-creating our lives and goals with the divine?
Yes, sometimes it is hard! Hey, I know it can be hard for me some days!!
Sometimes life, money and our goals can seem heavy and overwhelming! Do you ever feel like, “it’s all on me to do everything”? This is a great time to tap–as this is a particular vibe that literally blocks miracles from showing up. Whenever we feel weak, it just means that for a while we’ve forgotten about our abilities to co-create with the divine. This also implies that we are disconnected from the infinite magnificence…the kingdom of God that dwells with us. When we tap on these negative feelings, we remove the emotional blockages to our inner confidence; and are then able to tap into divine intelligence for direction, inner drive, and will power.
So let’s do that now; shall we?
Firstly, let’s dive into an exercise to examine where we are in regards to our goals.
Think about this year. Think about your money goals, wealth goals, and/or business goals.
Now, test this phrase by saying it aloud in two ways: “I have to make it happen.”
With all the emphasis on ‘have,’ notice the feeling in that…and how true it feels.
What is the emotion?
Now say the following statement again with the emphasis on ‘make’.
“I have to make it happen.” Notice the feelings in your body when you say it that way.
Round 1: We are going to tap on the statement: “I have to make everything happen
on my own (there’s no support!)”
Karate Chop Point:
Even though, the truth is I have to make it happen; it’s all on me. I’ve got to do it,
I accept all of me now.
Even though, I have to make this happen. I feel that pressure, that constriction,
but I can’t just let this go. I accept all of my feelings now.
Even though, the truth is, it’s all me. There’s no one supporting me, no miracles showing up. I have to make this happen. Otherwise I will fail, and that will be all on me. I love and accept myself anyway.
Eye brow (EB): It is all on me. It’s always been on me. I can’t just trust. I can’t let go.
Side of the Eye: (SE) That would be slacking off. I have to make this happen. Make it happen with my will, with my own two hands, my blood, sweat and tears.
Under the Eye (UE): It’s exhausting. But I keep doing it. I’ve got to make this happen.
Not a lot of fun in that.
Under the Nose: (UN) A lot of pressure…a lot of desperation. I’m always battling failure–so much at stake.
Chin (C): I can’t just trust in the Universe. That would be crazy
I’ve got to do it. It’s all me.
Collar Bone (CB): I feel isolated. There is no one to help me.
Under the Arm (UA): Why is all this happening to me?
Top of the Head (TH): I don’t think I can ever achieve my goals.
Karate Chop Point: (Tap on this point and repeat the statements below)
Even though, I’ve built a life making stuff happen. And I often say, oh I’ll just do it myself. I usually do it better, and I do it to my standards. I’m open to the idea that there’s a conflict in this for me. Because I’m not very open to help.
Even though, I love getting stuff done. I love making great things happen. I’m open
to the idea, that I could be an amazing achiever, and have an open window to streams of divine
brilliance, divine guidance, inspiration, and even miracles. That makes all my achieving fun.
Even though, I’ve operated this way for a long time; saying, “No thanks, I got it. I’ve got to do it all myself.” I’m now opening a window, and I’m propping it open with a stick, so I
can’t close it easily. This window is open to the divine co-creating with me. I actually don’t need to do everything myself.
The truth is I can’t always see the big picture. And although right now, I’m disconnected from the mind of God. Maybe the Divine is trying to give me more than I’ve even dreamed of.
EB: I’ve been doing it this way for a long time.
If I trust and let go, would I judge myself a slacker? Or naïve?
SE: I wonder what would happen, if I open this window and allowed the Divine to stream into my life–bringing me more brilliance, more inspiration, absolute miracles, and co-creating with me.
UE: I wonder how that would feel. I wonder how it would feel in my body, to achieve my goals that way.
UN: This would feel different. …REALLY different.
Chin: I surrender my control. I surrender my old story.
CB: I surrender my doubt in divine power.
UA: I open myself to help.
TH: I open myself to miracles. I open my connection to the divine to co-create with me!
If you can go through this exercise for the next couple of days, I’m certain that you will see some positive results in your life.
Love and light.
