Money is not the Root of all Evil: What is?

fear-of-money

It’s commonly believed that money is the root of all evil. However if you pay close attention to the people who believe that money is the source of all evil you will quickly discover that they have a bad relationship with money: aka, “broke as hell.”

I plead guilty of having this mindset. At one point when I was extremely broke I came to a delusional conclusion that if money were a person, he/she must be extremely mad at me. I thought that money discriminated people. Besides, my high school Champlain had programmed me to believe that money is evil, and those who love it are greedy “mother-funnels” who won’t go to heaven when they die. Yet I wanted to go to heaven, so I resented money. But tell you what? Experience has taught me that living a comfortable life is being in heaven here on earth.

So, what then is the root of all evil? In my opinion it is fear. It is fear that inspires jealousy—because one is afraid that there isn’t enough goodness to go around. So this fear triggers jealousy. If one focuses on this jealousy for an extended period of time envy is eventually manufactured. If you’ve ever dealt with an envious person you know how toxic and dangerous they can be. These people are the advocates of witchcraft, gossip, backstabbing others, and crime—to mention but a few.

“Surrounded by the flames of jealousy, the jealous one winds up, like the scorpion, turning the poisoned sting against himself.” – Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra

Fear is what inspires a woman to throw her kid in the trash because she is afraid that she won’t be able to take care of it, or herself.

Fear can inspire a parent to disregard or abuse their child because he/she is afraid that the child might grow up to be better than them. Strange, right? Tell me about fear!!

Fear can inspire a woman to mistreat her step-kids because she is so afraid of dealing with her own insecurities. So, this triggers anger that she passes on to the innocent step-kids, in form of rage or abuse.

Fear is what promotes cut-throat competitions where people do everything they can to step on each other’s toes, damage repetitions, wrongfully accuse others, and do whatever else they can to block one from succeeding.

jealousy-is-not-good-for-your-health.-it-is-a-silent-killer-an-untreatable-disease

Fear is what promotes addictions, because the user is so afraid of dealing with the torment in their mind and/or their experience in general. Consequently, they escape their reality because they are afraid that they don’t have what it takes to deal with it—at least for the most part.

Fear is what promotes wars. Societies and countries engage in life-time wars because they are afraid of losing their power to whomever they believe is their enemy.

Fear is the foundation of stress, anxiety and all other emotional draining states, because one is either afraid of the future repeating itself or they are afraid that the future will be worse than the present.

Fear promotes lies, deceit, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, short term gratification—plus other related self-degrading mental states, because one is afraid that they are not good enough.

Fear limits or retards self-expression because one is afraid of being judged.

Note that fear is primarily intended to warn us of the possible dangers in our environments—and then we get to choose between fleeing or fighting. And once an action is chosen, there’s no need to continue producing the fear-manufacturing hormones.

As a therapist, I often ask my clients to create visual representations of their fears. It is very interesting to see that each of them has unique images of their fears—even in situations where two people are afraid of the same thing. Therefore, it is evident the fear is a self-created state, triggered by the associations, definitions, relationships, attachments and perceptions that we assign to the events in our lives. Without associations, definitions, relationships, attachments and perceptions, fear is limited. Nothing is interpreted. Everything just is. Therefore, in order to release our fears we have to start by learning how to detach or resist defining events, things or situations.

Although without benefits, fear indeed is the root of all evil. The questions then are; what are your fears? What inner and outer negative behaviors have been triggered by these fears? What are you doing about your fears? How do you plan to let them go?

Send me an email if you need help with this.

Sending you abundant love from my heart to yours.

Become Positively Selfish

Image

Often, we all focus too much on other people’s needs, problems, progress, etc, yet forget our own issues that could need urgent consideration. We then find ourselves so stressed out about other people’s issues, and ironically, ours.

There are times when we’ve got to become positively selfish; meaning that we give ourselves guilty-free permission to focus on ourselves.

Image

In the preceding process, we need to examine our physical, emotional and spiritual beings in order to establish where we need to stretch and heal; or how we can change and grow. Once we are done examining these areas of our lives, we then discover that we actually don’t have a lot of time dealing with other people’s businesses. Also, considering that the better we become, the more attractive we become to ourselves and to the outside world, it is imperative to take time out for ourselves.

 Image

So, how do you become positively selfish?

  1. Establish how you can improve your physical, emotional and spiritual states.
  2. Start out by exercising for at least 20 minutes a day. Remember that exercising releases endorphins that reduce stress.Image
  3. Come up with a simple daily to-do list that indicates the things that you will do to improve or elevate your emotional and spiritual statesImage
  4. Spend at least 10 minutes a day, less of interruptions such as TV, cell phones, and think about the things that you WANT to happen in your life.
  5. ImageRead an empowerment or self-help book for at least 15 minutes every night before you go to sleep. Try Do Not Force It, Tap The Good: an inspirational philosophical book that shares lessons the whole world can live by. Image

You can take charge of your life my friend by focusing on yourself. Remember that we all deserve to be on top of our game.

The Art of Self-Mastery:

Image

As often indicated, nothing is impossible to the mind of man; for the conscious mind controls the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind is all powerful.  Therefore, every condition, circumstance, and manifestation of our lives can be changed to suite our conscious desires. Meanwhile, there are two commandments that will help us achieve this goal: Firstly, know that fear is the enemy; and secondly, understand the mind-lock. For fear causes the lock, and the lock exists in the subconscious mind in the form of prompters (negative emotions,) placed there by the conscious mind.

Image

I challenge you to begin eradicating from your mind all notion of yourself that has to do with where you live, where you were born, what you have done, and what your circumstances have been. I encourage you to concentrate on only one thing; and that is the spirit within you.

Image

As indicated by US Anderson, a renowned philosopher of the 60s, this real you, this conscious hidden intelligence that exists behind your eyes, is timeless, formless, and built from all the glory and magnificence that ever was. And this intelligence is your spirit. This spirit has nothing to do with your name, job or home…it has nothing to do with circumstance or situation. The plain fact is that you exist.  Just dwell on that, and nothing more. This means that you focus on the now; identify the good in the now; strive to feel good now; develop and hold onto your intentions now; think about the now, not yesterday, not tomorrow…but now. Breathe, and pay attention to your breath.  Then you will discover that all you really need to live is life.

Image

I encourage and challenge you to give yourself sometime in the upcoming days to master your mind.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. What are my biggest fears?
  2. Are they based on factual truths?
  3. If this fear didn’t exist in my mind, how would I feel?
  4. What would I want to feel instead of this fear?

 Image

Please click on the link below to access a free EFT session that will help you or someone you know ease off some stress, doubt or feelings of apathy about their lives.  http://youtu.be/JKCgW7Eypng

Get a journal and go through the above exercise every day for the next 9 days. At the end of these days, you will discover that you were not really afraid. You just felt fearful. Because indeed, being afraid is very different from feeling afraid. The former attitude brands you into fear itself, and the later, separates you from fear—which empowers you to knock it out of your system.

In my book Do not Force it, Tap The Good, you will learn techniques and tools that have been used by our very ancestors to re-connect to their spirits. You will learn the power of faith, the power in the now, and the power of self-unconditional love. Three Ways to raise your Attraction-Vibration

It has been said that everything begins from within us. And it does; because indeed the image we see in the mirror will never change until we change it. When we change our internal worlds, we change our external experiences.

Image

Moreover to attract whatever we want, we’ve got to raise our energetic vibrations. When one feels good, they position themselves to manifest their heart’s desires.  However, how the heck can you feel good when your world is crumbling? Well, it is important to remember that we have choices. We can choose to feel good, or at the very least pretend to feel good—faking it, until we become it.

Below are the three things you can do to raise your vibration

  1. Make a list of 10 good things about you. Then stand in the mirror everyday and repeat these things to yourself. It is also fun to add something new to the list every day.

Image

2. Make it a habit to do something to feel good on a daily basis. It could be as simple as taking a nap in the afternoon; or eating an ice     cream (not too much though J), or taking a walk; or watching a comedy movie.

Image

3. Imagine a candle burning in your heart all day. This works miracles on your psychic. Stretch this exercise further by imagining that  the candle blows out every time you worry or stress. You could also make it more fun by placing a dollar in some place every time the  candle in your heart blows out…also implying that you spend a dollar for every worrying-moment. At the end of each week, take all the  money you’ve collected and give it to someone, anyone. The less you worry or stress, the less money you will give away.

Image

If you can do these exercises on a daily basis for at least a week, your experiences will change to new and better ways that you’ve probably never imagined. Please post on my blog and let me know how you feel after the exercises.

Tip 4: Mind Your Business: In preparation of the first Annual Global Worry-free Day March 1st, 2014: 7.00A.M-7.00P.M.

Image

Today is about getting down to business…our internal businesses. The first thing we have to remember is that a worry-fast is so much like a food-fast. You don’t just jump into it and expect to stay in it. So, today, we are going to feed our minds with more tips for the worry-fast.

Tip 1:

Stay in the moment.

This simply means that you focus 100% on everything you are doing today. If it is eating, eat as if it is the best and last food you will ever eat. Chew the food, taste all the spices; feel the chunks as they move down your throat to your digestive system; and focus on the temperature of every bite.

When driving, drive as if you are driving your best car, for the last time, to the last place you will ever drive to. This implies that you pay attention to the way your car sounds as you drive; the muscles that you use to drive—as you also pay attention to your surroundings. You will realize that there’s enough to focus on in the moment.

Image

Tip 2:

Breathe:

Breathe in and out as if it is the last air you will ever have, and that your life depended on it—and it does. Feel the temperature of your breath as it goes in and out of your nostrils. As you breathe in, mentally tell yourself that you are breathing in love and peace, and breathing out worry and stress. Do this all day. When you forget, start again.

Image

Tip 3:

Mind your business:

When someone angers or upsets you, ask yourself whether it is your business or theirs. Please understand that whatever people do is their business: it is coming out of them…with the blue print of their internal representations. What you do is your business as well. When people act crazy or unfairly, it is their business. When someone insults you, it is their business. When someone cheats or does things to hurt you, it is their business. Even if someone killed you, it would be their business. Your business is to watch your reactions towards their business. Monitor your thoughts, and take control of your reactions towards their business. Focus on what is and not on what things should or shouldn’t be.  Continuously ask yourself: – “is it their business or mine?” When you stay in the moment, you will realize that the only things that really matter are the way you feel and react. Remember: we don’t experience what we want, we experience who we are.

Image

 Tip 4:

Look for things to make you happy.

Whatever we focus on, the brain will do its job to sort it out for us in our environment. The brain’s job is to employ your focus to direct you where you need to be, look or go–in order to experience whatever you are focused on. If you doubt this fact, focus on any color of your choice.  Go out to a large crowd and you will see that color everywhere; in cars, people’s clothes, building colors…name it.

Look on YouTube for videos that will make you laugh. Watch comedies. Sing silly songs. Watch your childhood movies or TV series. Exercise.

This evening, I will post the last tip in preparation of the worry-fast. Please come back here to check for the tip.

Are you at the verge of giving up?

Are you at the verge of giving up?

Do you feel like everything is crashing down on you?

Have you tried everything in the books and nothing is working?

Are you experiencing the opposite of what you want?

Are you dead broke—worried to death about how you will pay current and past bills?

Are you lonely?

Difficult as it might seem, this is the best time to let things be. This is the best time to surrender. This is the best time to tell the universe, or God or whoever you believe in, that you trust it; that you have faith in it; that you are confident about whatever it is doing. Clearly, everything you are doing, thinking and manifesting is in conflict with your desires. Worrying just invests in a negative vibration and makes things worse. So, LET GO. Stop and remain still. If you are moving in a particular direction and seem to be hitting block after another, it is evident that you are moving towards the wrong direction. So if you don’t know what to do, why not stop doing anything for some time in order to give room for new ideas to reveal themselves? If you are in such a conflicted negative noisy world, how will you hear what the universe / God/ or whoever you consider to be your higher power—is telling you?
Remember; even if at times nothing seems to be happening, something always is. Not all that is happening is visible. The source of all creation lies in the invisible world. So this might be a time when the universe is creating a new world for you. This might be the time when you are removing all old layers to reveal the new you. And although it might feel painful, consider caterpillars and what they go through to become butterflies. For sure if insects can do it, you can do it.
What has worked for me is a simple breathing exercise.

1. Sit still for as long as you can. Make sure that your arms and legs are uncrossed.
2. Start breathing deeply.
3. Imagine that you are breathing in relaxation, and breathing out stress, worry and anxiety. Do this for about 10 minutes.
4. Imagine that you are breathing in pure positive energy, and breathing out the negative. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Breathe in Love and light, and breathe out all that isn’t love and light. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes.
6. Breathe in faith, and then breathe out resistance. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes.
7. Breathe in success, and then breathe our blockages. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes.

It will take you about an hour to go through the breathing exercise if you do it as instructed. If you follow through, you witness a sense of relief and clarity after the exercise.

The silly things we do when STRESSED:

Image

If you have ever been stressed, regardless of the intensity, then you have done one of the silly things mentioned here below; or perhaps something else that got you laughing at yourself.

I know stress in itself is something that shouldn’t be ignored. Its effects are brutal, and could lead to life threatening circumstances.

The things I have done when stressed are incredibly stupid. A while back on one of “those days,” I got back to my apartment from work; removed my shoes, put them in a plastic bag, and then tossed them into the refrigerator. On other occasions, I have opened the fridge to look for salt, my cell phone, and even detergent.

On another stressful day, as I spoke to a friend with the ear phones on, and my cell phone tucked away in my shorts’ pocket, I suddenly started searching for the cell-phone. My friend sensed my uneasiness. “Are you okay?” she asked. “I am searching for my cell phone,” I responded. “I thought you are speaking on it right now.” She answered. I was embarrassed.

Recently, a friend went for a “long call.” Upon completion, she upset-mindedly removed her panty and used it as toilet paper, then flashed it. She only realized what she had done when the “lot” didn’t go in a single flash.

Another close friend once carried two plastic bags (one with garbage, and the other with his lunch). His intention was to dispose off the garbage before he drove to work. Stressed out, he disposed off the plastic bag with his lunch in it, and took the bag with the trash to work. I guess you can imagine what happened during his lunch break.

The story that wins the Oscar is one where my friend’s mum woke up one morning to take the goat to the plantation for grazing. On her way, she stopped by the pit latrine (outside toilet) to ease herself. She tied the goat to a small guava tree near the latrine, and proceeded to do her thing. When done, she released the goat and took it to the latrine, locked the door and went back to the house. After a few hours, on her way to the plantation to check on the goat, she heard it mooing in the latrine.

So, what are the silly things you do when you are stressed??
